So, what are the ‘5 Top Golf Cart Accessories for 2023?’ As you can imagine there are 100’s of new Golf Cart accessories brought to the market every year. Many are good, some are great and frankly, some fall into the silly category.

If the main purpose of your Golf Cart is for ‘street use’ you may not ‘need’ a Lift Kit, but man doesn’t a Lift Kit make your Golf Cart look better with a higher, sturdier looking ride?

Which of the Top 5 Golf Cart Accessories are right for you?

First, there are a couple of questions you should ask yourself about the Golf Cart accessories you are considering adding to your Golf Cart.

  1. Are you looking to upgrade your Golf Cart for inclement weather? Which Golf Cart accessories are best for making your Golf Cart perform better in cold weather, wet weather, hot weather?
  2. Is your Golf Cart street legal and if not, what are the Golf Cart accessories you should be looking at to help you ‘get legal?’
  3. Will the Golf Cart accessory you are considering be compatible with your current Golf Cart?
  4. Who will install the Golf Cart Accessories you are purchasing? Often, you will be able to add or install most of the Golf Cart accessories yourself, in fact that is most of the fun. Upgrading or replacing the windshield, or seats is an easy and enjoyable Saturday afternoon project, but adding an A/C unit, or replacing the suspension on your Golf Cart may need to be completed by a dealer or other professional.
  5. If yours is a new Golf Cart, will you void any of your manufacturer’s warranty by adding any of the accessories you are considering?

Now, onto the list, ‘5 Top Golf Cart Accessories for 2023’

1. Adding a Golf Cart Air Conditioning System

Whether you use your Golf Cart for the Golf course or to travel around town, doing so in the hottest of summer months is not enjoyable, or at least not as enjoyable as if you had an air conditioning unit blowing ice cold air on you as you make your way along the Golf course or on your way to the grocery store or lunch outing.

The upside of adding an air conditioning unit to your Golf Cart is that the even in the hottest of days are now much more enjoyable.

The downside of adding an air conditioning unit is that it will increase the drain rate on your battery system. Look for an air conditioning unit that has acceptable cold air output, but also is not too demanding on the power it requires from your batteries.

Adding accessories to your EV Cart is a great way to give your EV Cart a style all its own as well as enhance performance.

2. Adding New Mirrors to your Golf Cart

Standard Golf Carts are not always fitted with basic mirrors, so it is advisable to add them to your vehicle and if you are looking to make or keep your Golf Cart street legal, you must have basic side mirrors on each side of your Golf Cart. So, if you’re going to add side mirrors to your Golf Cart, why not make them stylish or at least be the latest design. Most Golf Cart Mirror sets are easy to install.

3. Golf Cart Covers

If you do not have the luxury of keeping your Golf Cart in your garage – we should all be so lucky to have space in our garage for our Golf Cart or even have a standalone Golf Cart Garage (we can dream can’t we?)…then you really should consider investing in a Golf Cart Cover.

A Golf Cart Cover is one of the top Golf Cart Accessories you can have for extending the life of your Golf Cart.

Whenever you are not using your Golf Cart, it is advisable to cover it up to protect it from the harsh elements or rain, sunlight, heat, snow and animals. In all cases, we recommend only investing in a waterproof Golf Cart Cover. A Golf Cart Cover will help prevent sunlight from fading your paint and keep dirt from getting onto the seats and bodywork of your Golf Cart.

Plus, a Golf Cart Cover prevents or reduces the onset of corrosion that a Golf Cart endures when exposed to the weather.

4. Adding Light Kits to your Golf Cart

If the sole purpose of your Golf Cart is to use it on a Golf course during the day, then you may not see the value of adding a light kit. However, if you wish to make your Golf Cart street legal or intend to drive it around your neighborhood at night, you are going to need a light kit to optimize your view at night and neutralize the effects on other drivers or pedestrians.

Halogen or LED bulbs are recommended and here are a couple of Golf Cart Light Kits that we recommend

 5. Adding a Lift Kit to your Golf Cart

It is unlikely that you will need to modify the height and stability of your Golf Cart to get around the Golf course. However, Golf Cart upgrades like a Lift Kit this give your Golf Cart the option to use your vehicle for other purposes such as street travel or even hunting.

If the main purpose of your Golf Cart is for ‘street use’ you may not ‘need’ a Lift Kit, but man doesn’t a Lift Kit make your Golf Cart look better with a higher, sturdier looking ride? If you are considering a Lift Kit for your Golf Cart, make sure that it works with your model of Golf Cart and most of the Lift Kits only fit a specific manufacturer.

Because of the quietness of electric vehicles and the possibility of collision with visually or audibly impaired pedestrians, the overall objective is to facilitate proximity awareness and minimize the chance of personal injury.
